ARABIC

Arabic remained unchanged over the centuries mainly thanks to the Koran precisely written in classical Arabic; in daily life Arabic speaking people use their local popular variants that we call dialect.

In our courses you will study modern standard Arabic.

BASE A1

Course focused on phonetics, learning and writing of Arabic characters. The correct expression of a phoneme is essential to learn this language. Students will acquire first grammatical basis, elementary lexicon as well as the basic skills to communicate and write in Arabic.

BASE A2

Students will learn basics for reading, comprehension and the translation of texts, thus developing skills for the listening, comprehension and the production of oral texts, consolidating their grammar and vocabulary.

INTERMEDIATE B1

Aimed to consolidate and expand the language skills by deepening the grammar in order to face the reading, the analysis and the comprehension of texts, practicing with translations, writings and speaking.

INTERMEDIATE B2

The course aims to deepen the grammar and to provide basics for the reading, the comprehension and the translation of literary texts in Arabic. Students will also develop oral and written communication skills for the everyday conversation and practical skills for the translation Italian-Arabic and Arabic-Italian.

ADVANCED C1

The course aims to provide syntactic, lexical and phraseological skills for reading, understanding and translating literary Arabic texts.

ADVANCED C2

Students will develop written and communication skills in relation to current topics together with practical skills in translating from Italian to Arabic and from Arabic to Italian.

DARIJA – MOROCCAN ARABIC

Darija is the language spoken by the Moroccans every day, the one they are more familiar with, the real national language. It’s the quick and cryptic language you hear every day among the stalls of the souq or while walking in the city, the one you need to communicate with the local people.

The course is divided in:

BASE

For those interested in Moroccan life and culture, for those who want to understand and explore the reality of the host country. The course is dedicated to those who are completely or almost unware of the secrets of this language.

ADVANCED

For those who have already some knowledge of the language, who want to become completely independent.
